Today we learned about Return of Investment (ROI). We even learned how to calculate about the return of investment based on the cost of training to determine if the training is worth it or not. However, I had an issue calculating as the formula given by Madam wasn’t accurate as if you use mathematical terms with the formula given, we would get the same amount we started out with and should be replaced from (Benefit-Cost)/Cost x 100% = ROI to Profit/Cost x 100%= ROI (Profit= Benefit-Cost) . This is so people are not confused and slash off both costs when eliminating unnecessary calculations.
Reflection Learning Unit 7
A Kahoot quiz was given today and managed to get more than half correct. I feel like I need to read more about the Learning Unit 6, especially part 2 of the slides. When it comes to Learning Unit 7 we learned the steps in order for us to plan the training programme so that there is no oversight from the start to the end of the training.
Reflection Learning Unit 6
We learned about training methods today. Namely traditional training methods and technology based training methods. This training methods have to be chosen properly based on the cost, the amount of time given and also the needs of the trainees. Personally I like the technology based training methods as traditional training methods are a little slow or boring for me and it is hard for me to focus if those training methods are used.
Reflection Learning Unit 5
In this learning unit, I learned the details in how to design a training programme. Using the ADDIE model, we learned how to insert content into our training by first understanding the needs of the trainee and then using it to design a training programme. I feel like data is the most important aspect in this learning unit as everything hinges upon the data collected to design a training programme.
Task 5 – Hierachical Task Analysis

Task 8:Sharpen your skills in writing objectives
Task Sheet – Sharpen your skills in writing objectives
Instructions – Read the statements below. Place a check mark (√) in the appropriate column to the right if a statement includes a performance, the conditions under which the performance is to appear, and/or criteria by which successful performance of the objective can be assessed.
HINT: Always begin analyzing an objective by circling the performance.
| No. | Objective | Performance | Condition | Criterion |
| 1 | Given a list of descriptions of human behavior, be able to differentiate between those that are normal and those that are psychotic. | √ | √ | |
| 2 | Without regard to subject matter, be able to describe ten examples of school practices that promote learning and ten examples of school practices that interfere with learning. | √ | √ | |
| 3 | Given twenty minutes of instruction and a lab exercise, be able to describe the difference between igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks, with 80% correct answers. | √ | √ | √ |
| 4 | Be able to locate correctly the following structures: heart, valves, ventricles and muscles. | √ | √ | |
| 5 | Write all the privileges described in the Malaysian Constitution. | √ | √ | |
| 6 | Be able to write an essay on the training process. | √ | ||
| 7 | Using the reference materials provided, able to name every item on the list correctly. | √ | √ | √ |
| 8 | Able to write a 250-words report on an accident given an oral description of the events. | √ | √ | √ |
| 9 | Describe three common errors in writing training objectives. | √ | √ | |
| 10 | Able to drive from point A to point B in 10 minutes without referring to any map. | √ | √ | √ |
Bold : Condition
Underline : Performance
Italic : Criterion
Reflection Learning Unit 4
This chapter is about effective teaching and learning strategies. After reading this learning unit, there is a lot of content here that accurately describes why trainees can or cannot learn and it highlights those circumstances that we must watch out for when designing a training programme.
